
Legacy for Justice Society
Over the years, many wonderful and generous friends have supported Bay Area Legal Services with charitable gifts and bequests. The Legacy for Justice Society was created to celebrate that generosity and to assist supporters who want to provide for Bay Area Legal Services through their estate planning.
Benefits of Membership
Membership is available to any individual, couple, or family that makes a planned gift commitment for the benefit of Bay Area Legal Services.
As a member of the Legacy for Justice Society, you will enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that your philanthropy will enable Bay Area Legal Services to maintain and improve its programs and will support Bay Area's efforts to make a difference in our community.
Membership entitles you to:
• An invitation to the Annual Donor Reception.
• Your name in the registry of Legacy for Justice Society members;
• Potential income and estate tax benefits.
*Founding Members of the Legacy for Justice Society will also be recognized at a special event, listed on a permanent plaque and will receive a memento acknowledging membership in the Legacy for Justice Society.

How to Join the Legacy for Justice Society
Notify Bay Area Legal Services that you have included Bay Area Legal Services in your estate and gift plan. If you wish to become a member of the Legacy for Justice Society or would like to learn more about the Legacy for Justice Society and/or estate gifts, please print and complete the Request Card.
You may include Bay Area Legal Services in your estate plan as a bequest in your will or trust, or by designating Bay Area Legal Services as the beneficiary of:
· a life insurance policy;
· IRA, 401K, or other retirement plan;
· a charitable remainder trust, charitable lead trust, or other charitable trust.
