Our Sustaining Law Firm campaign is designed to recruit law firms to become a Sustaining Law Firm.  Sustaining Law Firms pledge a minimum of $350 for every attorney in the firm per year.  Click here for a Sustaining Law Firm donation form.

What size or type firm qualifies as a Sustaining Law Firm?

Any size or type, including solo practitioners, and small to large law firms.

What is the contribution requirement to become a Sustaining Law Firm?
The contribution requirement is $350 or more per attorney in the firm - with a total contribution reflecting at least the number of attorneys in the firm multiplied by $350.

How would a national or regional firm with an office in Hillsborough or Pasco County qualify as a Sustaining Law Firm?
The firm would qualify as a Sustaining Law Firm by contributing $350 for each attorney practicing in Hillsborough or Pasco County.

Who can contribute?
Contributions can be made by individual attorneys, an attorney's employer, or through a matching program.

Can nonmonetary contributions, such as pro bono hours, count towards the contribution requirement to become a Sustaining Law Firm?
No.  Qualification as a Sustaining Law Firm is based on financial support.

Do all monetary contributions to BALS count towards the contribution requirement to become a Sustaining Law Firm?
All contributions to BALS' general fund, the Pearl Society, and United Way designations count towards the contribution requirement.

How will Sustaining Law Firms be recognized?
Sustaining Law Firms will be recognized in the Lawyer magazine, awarded with an SLF certificate, and acknowledged on BALS' website.
